Martial Arts Classes


Since 1992, Full Circle Martial Arts has been the premiere martial arts school in PG County. Through adult martial arts classes, you will not just be relieving stress and staying in shape, but you will also learn no-nonsense ways to defend and protect yourself. Our classroom practice sessions also develop leadership skills and have been proven to boost personal confidence. Master Samuel Scott and his partner, Master Wallace Powell, began training in the martial arts in the seventies, and have shared their knowledge with a countless number of students of all ages since then.

Adult Kung Fu

If you are looking for the most entertaining and practical way to improve your strength, flexibility, and cardio, this is it. For more than 40 years, Master Wallace Powell has carefully refined his adult Kung Fu class to give his students the best overall experience while helping them learn traditional forms of Kung Fu that do not require brute strength. He also spends a portion of the class teaching effective sparring techniques. Whether you are most interested in learning the history of Kung Fu or you want to become a tournament champion, this class can help.


Self Defense

Our self defense classes are taught by our very own former Special Ops and police trainer, Master Samuel Scott. As we like to say around here, “not knowing how to effectively defend yourself is like not having care insurance.” Investing in your personal safety through self defense classes is one of the best things you can do for you and your family. The class focuses on techniques such as finger-pressure takedowns, ground defense, and weapon disarming. Learn more about our PG County classes here. 


Tai Chi

Something that Full Circle Martial Arts takes the most pride in is bringing balance to our local community. One of the most practical ways in which we do this is by offering Tai Chi classes. We are undoubtedly living in extremely stressful times. Tai Chi and meditation is one of the best structured ways to ease that stress while improving your physical strength and mental clarity. Women’s Self Defense

Women’s self defense classes are one of the most useful ways that you can spend your free time. As a female, you know that an attack can happen at any moment, whether you are leaving work or walking through your own neighborhood. We offer 90-minute self defense courses for women that can be taught at our location or yours. We teach real world scenarios that will equip you to protect yourself from an attack. This includes learning what predators look for, learning stun and escape techniques, and the use of makeshift weapons.
